Launch of Education Arts Service West Midlands

Education Arts Service West Midlands, the region’s new online resource for the arts in education has launched!

www.easwestmidlands.org.uk is an exciting new resource for the West Midlands region designed to support educators in both formal and informal settings, artists, arts and cultural organisations in all arts education work. We have been working hard to create this extensive resource and will continue to develop further features and new content areas.

The service is funded by Arts Council England and is the free online arts education platform for the West Midland’s regions. EAS West Midlands will help to facilitate successful partnerships between young learners and the arts and creative industries, to provide projects that will open pathways and inspire the creation of fresh, new art reflecting the experiences of young people in the West Midlands.

The website’s key resource is the searchable Arts Directory, where educators and youth practitioners can search for arts partners – all of whom carry current CRB disclosure checks and references. You will find practical support on setting up and delivering projects, regular news bulletins and a range of interactive features enabling users to comment and discuss issues, review projects, submit case studies, highlight best practice and advertise opportunities.

Highlights include

The Arts Channel
Specialist content for arts, culture and creative industry professionals working with children and young people.

The Education Channel
Specialist content for teachers, youth and education professionals seeking to engage with the arts, cultural and creative sectors. The section includes an area dedicated to the Diploma in Creative and Media, with supporting resources and model projects.

The Arts Directory
A growing directory of arts and creative industry practitioners and organisations working in formal and informal education.

Email Bulletins
Sign up for regular updates on the latest news and events in the arts education sector.

Contributed Content
Publicise your own arts and education related news, events and showcase your work.

Knowledgebase
